The Role

Service Technician is the central point of contact for all technical related incidents and service requests. The Service Technician is responsible for resolving technical support requests as well as meeting external customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. Technical staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, and in person.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Document processes
  • Follow all company’s procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Serves existing accounts by analysing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements

Candidate Requirements

  • Highly developed working knowledge and skills within defined areas of professional/technical specialty
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to successfully interact with operations staff in a team environment
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedure   

      *Driver’s license essential
